POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Development Associate works closely with the Director of Sales, and Marketing team, to support and coordinate business development activities. This includes assisting in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Follow up with prospect leads from demos, sales presentations, conferences, etc.
- Create sales workflows in HubSpot and document all sales activity
- Provide regular reports on sales pipeline; track progress and proactively follow up
- Create drafts, templates, and repository of content for emails, presentations, and sales materials
- Coordinate and participate in discovery calls
- Assist with direct prospecting; apply sales process and methods to articulate StudioC’s value proposition and present solutions to prospects
- Assist with development and writing of sales proposals and contracts
- Conduct research on future business opportunities; stay on top of market and industry trends
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience & Competencies
- Minimum of one year work experience in a business development or inside sales role, ideally in a B2B business.
- Proficiency using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform – Hubspot preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting in front of an audience (live or video)
- Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize workload and manage tasks independently
- Demonstrated self-starter with a drive to achieve
- High sense of urgency; capacity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Some travel may be required, generally less than 10% of the time
